Jeremiah 17.5-10

Jeremiah paints a picture of two ways that humanity can go: one of trusting in their own strength, the other is of trust in God.

Those who trust in Yahweh are not exempt from hardship, but remain fruitful because they are rooted in the right place.

The analogy for us as Christians is clear: we are to be rooted in God, seeking to do God’s will, trusting in God’s power and grace at all times.
