Pentecost
Acts 2.1-21Context
Over the last four weeks we have reflected on the way Jesus prepared his disciples for his departure. This week we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit which internalises the resources of the memory box within us and provides the resources for living God’s mission.
Common thread – When the Spirit comes
The ROOTS resources draw on all the lectionary readings this week to celebrate the diversity of the Holy Spirit through image and metaphor.
An alternative thread for adults
Spirit of communication explores the idea that the Spirit gives us the language to connect with the past, present and future and to converse with creation.
These resources were first published in Issue 41 May/June 2009.
