Proper 22

Job 1.1; 2.1-10

Context

This week we begin a four-week series on the book of Job. Like Proverbs, Job is Wisdom literature, and through a dramatic story-poem, it explores the big questions of human existence. In addition to the problem of suffering, we find an examination of God the creator expressed in the most exquisite poetry.

Common thread – Identified (Job 1.1; 2.1–10)
