This week we explore the vulnerability of silence – and ways to avoid it – through the well-known story of Mary and Martha.

Silence and inaction are uncomfortable when we still so often justify ourselves by being busy. The rhythm of work and rest gives way to constant activity within which awkward questions need not be faced.
