2 Corinthians 8.7-15

Following the footsteps - Week 4 of 7

Seven weeks in which we explore who Mark’s Jesus is and ask what it means to become his apprentice.

Living in the now

Jesus is once again surrounded by the crowd pressing in and wanting a piece of his time. On his way to help the daughter of an important man he has an encounter with a socially outcast woman who needs him.

This week's reading, Mark 5.21-43, provides us with an opportunity to:

  • see that anyone can approach Jesus with their needs (AAA & CYP)
  • identify that Jesus responds to those who suffer (AAA & CYP)
  • recognise that disciples pay attention to what is happening around them (AAA & CYP).

These resources were first published in Issue 60 July/August 2012.
