As the church year approaches its end, we puzzle over the parable of the talents and reflect on living in the light.
This week’s readings, 1 Thessalonians 5.1-11 and Matthew 25.14-30, provide an opportunity to:
- experiment with unpacking a parable in an open-ended way
- consider how we use our talents and gifts wisely
- realise that choices have consequences
- see how images of light and darkness help us in distinctive living.
