Today, the celebration of Christ the King, is the culmination of our six-week theme where we have recognised the urgency of the gospel message from our reading of Matthew’s uncompromising words.
Thy kingdom come
The church year ends as we celebrate the reign of Christ, the King of upturned values, whose kingdom is described in the parable of the sheep and the goats.
This week’s reading, Matthew 25.31-46, provides an opportunity to:
- explore the image of Christ the King (AAA & CYP)
- realise that actions have consequences (AAA & CYP)
- think about how we treat the vulnerable in society. (AAA & CYP)
