Looking for Jesus
Luke 2.41-52On a Passover visit, the young Jesus separates from his family and stays behind in Jerusalem. He discusses the Scriptures in the Temple. Mary and Joseph anxiously search for him. This passage is the last we see of Jesus as a child, and here we see his need to balance obedience to his earthly parents with devotion to his heavenly father; those in the Temple and his parents learn from Jesus about what his role on earth is. We also see Jesus learning from his parents and growing in his family setting.
