What is important and urgent now?
Matthew 25.1-13Jesus tells a parable about 10 bridesmaids waiting for the groom – but are they ready? Half of the bridesmaids have oil for their lamps, the other half do not. When the groom arrives, those with no oil go to buy some, but miss their moment.
The bridegroom (and the bride) are coming, the banquet is prepared, but the exact time is unknown. What preparation do we need to make to greet Jesus when we meet him face to face? It surely includes our responses to urgent issues of our day.
