Lent 3
Exodus 20.1-17Context
This week we encounter a new stage in the development of God’s covenant with his people when they receive a written law. Moses travels to Sinai to receive the Ten Commandments.
Common thread – Live the covenant (Exodus 20.1-7)
The ROOTS resources this week examine the first written covenant, the Ten Commandments, described in the reading from Exodus.
An alternative thread for adults, Christ the wisdom of God, explores the passage from 1 Corinthians.
These resources were first published in Issue 40 March/April 2009.
