Proper 6
Mark 4.26-34Context
After considering the nature and characteristics of God on Trinity Sunday, we move now to examine the nature and characteristics of God’s kingdom.
Common thread – Kingdom growing (Mark 4.26-34)
The ROOTS resources this week examine how Jesus directs his hearers to the way growth develops organically in the natural world in order to point to an important truth about how God’s reign takes hold in people’s lives.
An alternative thread for adults
Jesus, the master storyteller, explores the significance of stories in Jesus’ teaching ministry.
These resources were first published in Issue 41 May/June 2009.
