Proper 14
Luke 12.32-40Context
We read further into Luke 12 and encounter the well-known phrase ‘Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also’. We learnt last week about the foolishness that can be associated with physical treasure and now a more judicious course of action is commended.
Common thread – Are you ready to be served? (Luke 12.32-40)
This week we learn that it is the Father’s good pleasure to give his Kingdom to the flock, and lest this seems unlikely, it is reinforced with a topsy-turvy story of a master serving his slaves.
An alternative thread for adults, Faith in practice, is based on Hebrews 11.1-3,8-16.
