Continuing to read through Matthew's substantial account of Jesus' teaching from the Sermon on the Mount, we reach the well-remembered passage about the birds of the air and the lilies of the field.
Common thread: Wise or foolish worry? (Matthew 6.24-34)
This week we consider Jesus' advice about worrying. In the face of the current economic situation and concerns about the planet's well-being there is an element of challenge. But in a world haunted by low self-esteem provoked by celebrity culture and advertising, we find much that is reassuring.
An alternative thread for adults, Think in this way, is based on 1 Corinthians 4.1-5.
