Lent 1
Matthew 4.1-11Context
Today we begin our journey through Lent and as we travel with characters who meet with Jesus, we shall share in some intimate conversations. These reveal to us more about the man who now sets his face towards Jerusalem.
Common thread: Who are you really? (Matthew 4.1-11)
In the wilderness Jesus is tempted. A series of three short conversations helps us to discern a battle to establish his identity and vocation as his ministry begins.
An alternative thread for adults, Looking at psalms, is based on Psalm 32.
These resources were first published in Issue 52 March/April 2011.
