John 9.1-41Context
Today’s long Gospel passage features a series of conversations about sight and sin, at the heart of which is a man ‘born blind’ who ends up seeing and believing. Apart from his blindness we are told little about the man or the parents who brought him to birth.
Common thread: Is seeing believing? (John 9.1-41)
This week we explore the response of the man born blind to the insistent questioning of several groups of people. Through the tangled web of events surrounding his healing we begin to tease out what it means ‘to see’.
An alternative thread for adults, The God shepherd, is based on Psalm 23.
