Speak out
Jesus’ name is becoming known, and theories circulate as to who he is. John the Baptist is imprisoned and Jesus sends him a message of support before Herod has John the Baptist killed.
This week's reading, Mark 6.14-29, provides us with an opportunity to:
- explore the complex motives of the characters in the story of the beheading of John the Baptist (AAA & CYP)
- appreciate that disciples are prepared to speak out about what is right (AAA & CYP).
