Five weeks in which we use the Letter of James to celebrate God’s gifts and consider our response.
Prayer
Our consideration of James’ letter culminates in his commendation of prayer, summing up all that has preceded it.
This week's reading, James 5.13-20, provides an opportunity to:
- appreciate that the previous four weeks have led to this consideration of prayer (AAA & CYP)
- recognise that prayer starts in gratitude (AAA & CYP)
- discover that James himself was noted for his constant prayer (AAA & CYP)
- consider the possibility of being soul friends to one another (AAA & CYP)
- understand that prayer changes me more than the situation – what happens when prayer happens. (AAA)
