Jesus’ teaching this week uses exaggeration to challenge his listeners to think about the way they behave towards other people.
This week’s reading, Matthew 5.38-48, provides an opportunity to:
- consider how we can defy society’s expectations (AAA & CYP)
- reflect on the risk of making ourselves/our community vulnerable (AAA & CYP)
- examine ways in which we can ‘turn towards’ rather than ‘turning away from’. (AAA & CYP)
