Homely and heavenly
Luke 2.1-14,(15-20)- Caesar’s census takes Joseph and Mary to Bethlehem, David’s town.
- Jesus is born among the animals, where it is warm, and shepherds are the first to visit.
- The angels announce that God’s ways are revealed in this homely and humble scene, not in places of power and influence.
