We complete our series of ‘if only’ wishes with the well-loved story of Zacchaeus.
Common thread
Enough acceptance? (Luke 19.1-10) If only we could recognise God’s acceptance of us, we would accept the changes in behaviour that this demands. This is what happens to Zacchaeus. His unequivocal behaviour change is because, through Jesus’ curiosity about him, he is able to recognise his own value.An alternative thread for adults, The Church is for all , draws on 2 Thessalonians 1.1-4,11-12.
