Luke 24.13-35Context
We continue to celebrate Easter listening to our last intimate conversation as we read in St Luke’s Gospel of the journey to Emmaus, at the end of which the unrecognised risen Christ is revealed as he breaks bread.
Common thread: Getting to know (Luke 24.13-35)
This week we discover that conversation demands more than our casual attention and that revelations of the risen Christ are dependent, perhaps, on a degree of openness to the moment and possibility.
An alternative thread, Being spontaneous, is based on Acts 2.14a,36-41 and continues our encounter with the Early Church.
