Luke 24.13-35
  • Two disciples walk home to Emmaus, distressed and confused by the events of Passover.
  • They cannot recognise the stranger they meet on the way.
  • Their eyes are eventually opened when he accepts their offer of hospitality, and says a familiar grace as he breaks and shares the bread.
