The quiet drama of God
Luke 1.26-38All-age resources
- An angel visits Mary and tells her she will bear a son, who is to be called Jesus.
- The child to be born will be holy, and will be called Son of God.
- Mary is told that her much older cousin, Elizabeth, is also to have a son.
This week's resources explore: shame, scandal and disruption in the house of God.
Christmas resources for Children & Young People
As Advent 4 falls on Christmas Eve this year we have integrated the Advent 4 and Christmas resources for Children & Young People. The resources include:
- prayers to integrate into sessions and services
- a retelling of the nativity story and activities for very young children
- a drama script for the nativity story suitable for 10- to 15-year-olds
- resources for young people based on Luke’s account of Gabriel’s visit to Mary, and Jesus’ birth.
Integrate activities into services, group sessions or social events leading up to and during the Christmas holidays. Rehearse and present the drama script as part of a service or event, or read through in a more informal group session.
