What comes out when you are squeezed?
James 3.1-12James uses a succession of striking images to illustrate the power of the tongue, the impact of which can be used for both good or ill, going well beyond its small size. Nobody is perfect, but this state of affairs does not befit followers of Jesus.
James is brutally honest in asking if we are really in control of our bodies. Our actions and speech have the power to bring life-changing harm or grace. Together, we discover ways to train ourselves to be more effective instruments of God’s peace and grace.
