Rona Orme offers a Lent-themed resource – adaptable for a youth session, school assembly or church service.

Tuesday 17 February is Random Acts of Kindness Day. The season of Lent, the six weeks before Easter, begins on 18th February in 2026. This seasonal outline, for use the week before Lent, offers an opportunity for young people to prepare for Lent. Using the popular concept of ‘random acts of kindness’, young people are encouraged to choose intentional, practical actions of kindness, justice, and mercy, as they grow as a follower of Jesus.
