Jesus was a wonderful friend. He was especially wonderful because he was not just an ordinary person. He was God’s son.

Some of the disciples knew this but many other people were not sure. Long, long ago, God had said that his son would come one day to the world. He said he would be born in Bethlehem and would help lots of people. God also said that this special person would one day ride a donkey into the city of Jerusalem, in the same way as kings used to ride horses in the cities where they were important.
