John 1.6-8,19-28Context
This is the second week in which we think about John the Baptist. John the Evangelist’s account is written in a rather different style from Mark’s account which we met last week and it allows us to encounter John’s message in a rather different way. John was the Forerunner, pointing the way to Jesus.

John the Baptist had confidence in his identity: he knew that he had a part in God’s story. When people asked him who he was, he was very honest in his answers. Today we will explore how we can discover and share who we are and what part we have in God’s ongoing story.
