Revelation 21.10,22 – 22.1-5Context
We continue to read of the heavenly Jerusalem, of its beauty and comfort. Beside the river is a tree whose leaves are for the healing of the nations: this is a vision developed from the prophet Ezekiel and made even more promising through the experience of faith in the risen Christ.
Common thread – Tree of life (Revelation 21.10,22 – 22.1-5)
This week we consider the image of the tree of life, common to more than one religious faith, its links with Old Testament literature and the beautiful hope of healing to which it points.
An alternative thread for adults, Letting go, is based on John 14.23-29.
