Luke 21.5-19Context
As the lectionary takes us ever closer to the end of the Christian year, we continue to think about what Jesus said about the end times and consider what this means to us who live in the world. On Remembrance Sunday this determines the way we remember those who have given their lives in service to their country.
Common thread – What really matters? (Luke 21.5-19)
While a concern for end times is not unnatural, and it was certainly important to the Early Church, we must not let this deter us from investing our time and energy on what God requires of us now.
An alternative thread for adults, Good work, draws on 2 Thessalonians 3.6-13.
