The community thread continues to run through this week as we move to 1 Peter and encounter some famous words that constituted foundational teaching to the Early Church.
Common thread: Building blocks (1 Peter 2.2-10)
This week’s passage is full of building and stone metaphors, helping us to build upon the foundations laid last week. Opening up the stone metaphors provides plenty of ideas for the building up of our own communities of Christian fellowship.
An alternative thread, An unsettling gospel, is based on Acts 7.55-60 – continuing the journey through the Acts of the Apostles begun on Easter Day.
