Luke 3.1-6- In the late 20s AD, John the Baptist begins his ministry in the wilderness.
- He announces that God’s ancient promises are being fulfilled: God is returning to his people.
- He calls his hearers to make a new start with God, and to be baptized as a sign that they mean it.
