This week’s consideration of Christian community moves to times when things get difficult with an assurance that Christ is with us in all things.
Common thread: Safe places (1 Peter 3.13-22)
Being a Christian community is not all plain sailing and in today’s passage the writer of 1 Peter acknowledges this. Reading this encouragement to a suffering church reminds us of the needs of the many suffering Christians today.
An alternative thread, Earthing the good news, continues our readings of Acts by leaping to chapter 17 (Acts 17.22-31).
