The incident in today’s reading happens after Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. He is challenged by the Temple authorities and in response, he tells the story of two sons.
This week’s reading, Matthew 21.23-32, provides an opportunity to:
- recognise the complexity of decision-making (AAA &CYP)
- acknowledge that sometimes we need to change our mind (AAA &CYP)
- identify the conflict between personal desires and greater obligations, this week in a family context (AAA &CYP)
- consider being true to our word. (AAA &CYP)
