Lord, save me!
Matthew 14.22-33Jesus reveals a little more of his identity in dramatic fashion by walking on the water to where the twelve are battling a storm. Peter thinks he can do it too; but he needs to be rescued and learns a crucial lesson in trust.
This week we explore the push-pull factor of fear versus love, as we hear Jesus call his disciples – and us – to leave our comfort zones and grow in faith. We hear the voice more clearly when we slow down, quieten chattering minds to pay attention to Jesus. Venturing out can bring us into stormy times.
This week we explore God with us in stormy times.
