Matthew 14.22-33Context
We continue to explore Matthew’s accounts of Jesus’ miracles. Those caught up in the action we read of this week are rather more limited than the 5000 in last week’s story but the impact of the event is equally stunning.
Common thread (Matthew 14.22-33)
In this week’s reading we focus on the authority of Jesus, which extends to the created world. In the storms and chaos of our own lives we reflect on the kind of faith which steps out even when we feel vulnerable and afraid.
