Mark 7.1-8,14-15,21-23Context
After five weeks we finally leave behind John 6 and return to Mark’s Gospel to encounter a conflict between Jesus and the Pharisees.
Common thread – Inside and out (Mark 7.1–8, 14–15, 21–23)
Returning to Mark’s Gospel, the ROOTS resources this week examine one of the Pharisees’ challenges to Jesus. This provides an opportunity to discern the fine distinctions between obsessions and practical actions that might become rituals. Are we able to define the difference?
