The risen Lord
Two disciples travelling from Jerusalem to Emmaus are joined on the road by the risen Jesus. They fail to recognise him until they invite him in and he breaks bread.
This week’s reading, Luke 24.13-35, provides an opportunity to:
- acknowledge that we recognise Jesus through his actions
- recognise that we are reunited with Jesus when we break bread together
- develop our understanding of the Easter story.
